The new range of stainless steel door handles has been awarded a commendation for Product Design at the 2004 Scottish Design Awards held at the Moat House Hotel in Glasgow 21 May.

The range has proven so successful that Ovos has been specified for the majority of recently completed projects by Edinburgh based Cairney Hardware Limited tel. 0131 313 1303. They have won over many top architects and builders with their quality, innovative ergonomic design, and standard of service.

Edinburgh design company V Design tel. 0131657 3187 assisted with the project by providing animated 3D perspectives and CAD drawings.

The Ovos lever handles are available with a safety end for commercial use. Many Universities and Authorities now insist on this type of design for both health & safety and ease of use for disabled accessibility.

Ovos is suitable for both housing and commercial developments. Recent projects include St Andrews University, Housing in St Kitts and Barbados, high quality flats in Glasgow for Mansell Homes and several prestigious housing projects in London specified by Rolfe Judd and Arcadiam architects.

Cairney Hardware won a commendation last year from the RIBA/GAI for the supply of door hardware and access control to the Goodenough Club, a refurbishment project in London. Presented at the House of Commons.
